Este año estamos incorporando los Robots de Lego Mindstorms a nuestro proyecto de aula, nuestra investigación sobre los peces. Los alumnos diseñaron un programa para calcular cuántos peces hay en un lago. Había tres lagos, unos estaban más poblados que los demás. Las causas no las sabemos, pero hay que contabilizar la población de peces para comprobar si hay menos o no. En esta foto, D.S. nos descubre por qué hay una parte del programa que no funciona. Durante una sesión de trabajo, los alumnos expusieron qué problemas tenían con los programas, había un grupo que decía que su programa no contaba los peces. D.S. nos dio la solución: los iconos de las funciones deben estar conectados entre sí con un enlace amarillo, si el enlace aparece gris, no está conectado y no da la orden. La programación que hemos utilizado ha sido bastante compleja , usando multiplicaciones, estimaciones, decimales y variables. Los programas están terminados y todos funcionan, aunque hay que ir perfeccion

WATER CREATURES PROJECT Our big Inquiry Question is : Where does water go/come form? Some of the questions we are wondering and answering are.... Explore the secrets of the water : what amazing things have you found in the water? In which different forms can you find water? How does water affect the living things around it? Why is water so important to living things ? And to humans? What would happen if we did not have water? How does water affect the cycle of life of animals and plants? How do humans use water to obtain a place to live, energy, food...? How can we be more "water efficient"? Can we use water as a means of communication? How? Where does water come from?here does it go? Do you think water will never end? Which is the impact of human's polution in water? This is a project we are doing in both languages: Spanish and English.

Euro final energizes Calgary fans

The evening of June 23rd in many cities in Europe, and also in Spain, it is celebrated "La noche de San Juan". This tradition is said to be more than 2000 years old. People usually gather around the fire to celebrate the summer solstice. It has also a "magical" meaning . They first made the bonfires to attract the power of the sun and keep the days long( as they started to be shorter from that point) , and the fire and the water are also used as renovating elements. yet, many people gather pieces of wood and stuff they are not using anymore and build a "fogata" during the previous days (even the notebooks...) and that night, they burn it all. People gather around the bonfires to celebrate that the old goes and that a new beginning is there for us. In a city called Ciudadela, in the island of Menorca, they have a special celebration with horses to celebrate "La Noche de San Juan" I wanted to share with you because it is similar to your "St

Finally we have the podcast with all the music from the play. This selection of Renaissance music has been composed and performed by artists such as Haendel, Narciso Yepes, Falla, Gaspar Sanz, Jordi Savall, Juan de la Encina. There is also a special song featured by our music teacher Bonnie Lawrence, it is our main theme. I hope you enjoy the music and find it useful to follow up the script. It is going to be great!!!

This is a short video about one of the most popular festivities in my region, Murcia. In a town called Caravaca de la Cruz 700 years ago lived together moors and christians. There is a beautiful story behind with the horses as main characters. This celebration reminds us how important is to celebrate the different cultures in a possitive way. The welcoming and fantastic habitants of Carvaca know this well, and every year they come together to cheer the horses and celebrate our history.
